Rotary Connects the World – Art Gallery Exhibition

A unique exhibition highlighting global culture, art, and the spirit of humanitarian service will open May 15 at the University of North Alabama, offering visitors a rare glimpse into a remarkable international collection.

“Rotary Connects the World: The Journey of Mark and Gay Maloney” will be on view through July 15, 2026, in the Elaine Bailey Augustine Art Gallery on UNA’s campus. The exhibition features an extensive array of cultural art, rare textiles, and distinctive artifacts collected by Mark Maloney and Gay Maloney during their travels while serving in leadership roles with Rotary International.

A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the gallery.
Organized by the University of North Alabama’s Department of Visual Arts and Design, the exhibition invites attendees to explore a diverse collection that reflects artistic traditions and cultural experiences from around the world. Each piece represents a story from the Maloneys’ journey, illustrating the connections formed through service, goodwill, and shared humanity.

The gallery is located on the second floor of the Visual Arts Building at 120 Dormitory Drive on the UNA campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
